This staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The location was fantastic and the views amazing.
Hotel is situated in a beautiful Imerovigli village. Caldera views from the hotel rooms are breathtaking! Very friendly hotel stuff. Good and variable breakfast, served to the room.
Hotel pool is quite small.
The view is breathtaking! We stayed in a superior room. it was very spacious and comfortable. The breakfast was very fresh and gets delivered to your balcony. Would highly recommend this property for what you got it was great value for money.
Quiet (in june), modern new rooms
Beautiful location and amazing views. We loved the authentic cave design which was beautifully appointed with modern design touches. The staff was friendly and helpful.
Our room had a very small balcony and a small problem with ants, which is not completely unexpected when staying in a cave room.
we loved every moment at sunny villas and when we return to santorini we will definatley be staying there again !
Location is good, view is good. The breakfast is good.
The hotel is not as nice as its photo. The photo are exaggerated and over stated. Comparing with some others, it is old inside. All the home appliance looks old and outdated I think it is more than 5 years. The price is not good with its decoration.
The location and views were by far the best we have ever seen- amazing. The bartender was great at his job- friendly, talkative, multi-lingual, inventive, even served us a small cocktail sampler that he invented for free. Our room with balcony view was cozy, had a great colour scheme, bathroom was of a good size. The couches at the pool area were comfortable and it was so pleasant to sit there watching the sunset sipping cocktails.
We were not picked up at the port as organised. Our transfer did no turn up and only after 4 very unpleasant and expensive roaming phone calls did Michael organise for someone else to pick us up. So we arrived at our hotel an hr later than planned, without any apology, or any offer of reimbursement for the delayed transfer. We were not happy about this, and when we brought it up again, we were all but blamed for what happened because we 'mustn't have seen him'. Left a very sour taste at the beginning of our trip. We also had problems trying to get in contact with reception. At one stage our water just stopped- tried to phone reception but no answer- but luckily the water restarted soon afterwards. We also tried to phone them to help us with our luggage on check-out. Again no answer.
Our stay at Sunny villas was great! We were here for six nights on our honeymoon, and couldn't have picked a better location. Imerovigli has the same sunset views as Oia, but is much less expensive and with fewer tourists. We stayed in two different rooms (one of the cave rooms and a superior studio) and each had a great balcony that we spent every night on watching the sunset. The staff is incredibly helpful, making all the right recommendations for restaurants, car rentals, beaches, etc. In short, we loved our week here.
The one small downside is that the beds are not the most comfortable, though that seems to be a trend in Greece, so perhaps its simply a matter of personal preference.
Very friendly, helpful staff who gave us excellent recommendations for restaurants. Gorgeous view, charming rooms (we had one of the traditional "cave" style rooms with a bonus reading nook and another plainer but also pleasant room-- each with kitchenette, semi-private patio).
Not a criticism, really, just a warning that there are many, many steps to the rooms, not well lit before dawn, so if you are leaving for an early flight, luggage transport and walking up the steps may be problematic.
excellent location, breathtaking view to caldera and sunset from the beautiful private terrace, very nice and clean room.
bar service during midday and after 9 o'clock in the evening is recommended.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was very spacious and the bed surprisingly comfortable (considering most beds in Greece are as hard as rocks)! The breakfast brought to our balcony every morning was simple, but yummy (especially the yoghurt) and quite filling. The view from our balcony was spectacular. We were told the sunsets at Oia are where everyone goes (which we did one evening) but I reckon the view from our balcony was just as good if not better!!
There are alot of steps getting too and from your room, so be prepared for carting your luggage up & down heaps of steps ... although if you ask the staff very nicely that were more than happy to assist! The only other negative was the balcony where our room was situated wasn't very private - it was on the main walkway to & from a local tourist attraction so there was people constantly walking past.
The Staff was amazing, very helpful in pointing me in the right direction, great service, the rooms were very clean, and at a great price.
The office was a little hard to find, no signs (that I could find) They need a little more advertising up on the main road directing the way to the office.
Staff friendly and very helpful. Location great. Views stunning. Nice breakfast, delivered to room.
Bed not very comfortable. Pool area did not have banana lounges to stretch out in, lack of room.
What we like the most is resting on the terrace and sightseeing at the same time. The view is terrific. The hotel is on the cliff(probably the highest point on the island), where we can see the whole caldera and the harbor and islands nearby. Many people walking by take pictures from this spot. The long sofa/bed on the terrace are very comfortable. We spend more time here than anywhere else on the island combined. The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. The restaurants recommended by Andreas, the hotel manager, are excellent and good value for money. We booked three days here, but we like it so much so that we changed our flights and we are still here after five days. We may stay more than a week eventually.
